Meet The Maker - Erin Enk

- Meet the Maker -

“My love of nature and my need to create has always been a huge part of how I define myself. Erin Enk as a brand is a reflection of an aesthetic which I appreciate most and is often unavailable in the mass produced market. My paintings and jewelry combine elements of natural science, modern and bohemian styles. I most often use watercolor in my paintings, but I also work with acrylics. I often digitally rework my pieces and have also used these skills to do graphic design.

The electroforming process I use to create my jewelry was a way to combine my fascination with natural elements and chemistry. I love making jewelry that I want to wear and wish existed in the world. You can only control so much of the electroforming process. Most aspects of a piece can be designed, but the electricity used will also create its own forms, making each piece completely unique. I love how solid each finished piece feels and being able to preserve a piece of the natural world and make it into something wearable.”
